The nine steps towards sustainable environment.

Chandipur sea beach is one of the major tourist attractions inthe Balasore district of Odisha. This place experiences an average visitor of 1000-1200 every day. This number evengoes up during holidays. With this larger number of visitors, a problem also pops up which is handling waste. Every day lots of food wrappers and beverage bottles are thrown on the beach. In picnic seasons,
Styrofoam plates and single-used plastic also add up. To address this problem, a team of nine youths from Balasore decided to take a step towards cleaning it. The cleaning of the beach started from the entrance gate to the deep in beach area. The cleaning was focused on collecting plastics, glass and bottles, cloth, and other natural waste like Styrofoam, food leftovers, religious waste, etc. The waste was collected and separated from the beginning based on the category. To
ensure safe waste disposal, youths collaborated with BalasoreMunicipal Corporation for the final disposal. After this activity, an amazing group of senior citizens congratulated the youths and promised to volunteer. The day ended with the hope of a clean Chandipur sea beach and
people will be joining us for the cause. This is nine beginning steps towards sustainable environment.
